I painted this from a poster I had lying around. It measures 24x36 inches and hangs proudly in my living room. I wouldn't mind making prints of the actual painting (not the dA picture) but am not sure over copyright laws...but for now at least people can admire my work
I used acrylic paints for this one. I prefer acrylic cuz they dry really fast compared to oils...I went thru about 6 paint brushes and it took me about a month to paint it. I had a poster of the movie and loved it so much that I decided to paint it bigger. The poster I might add is ruined! I used it to compare colors.

It took roughly 20 days, working on it about 3 hours a day. Long and tedious, but since I love the movies so much it was alot more fun. I sure went through alot of paintbrushes!

Lord of the Rings!!! Yaaaaa
Ok. Yes, I'm quite obsessed.
I think Arwen's nose is a little too round..but this is amazing! Especially Saruman, he looks so...scheming. Which he is. And Gandalf looks like he knows something we don't... good expression there.

Then the cat on the fiddle played hey-diddle-diddle
A jig that would wake the dead.
He squeaked and sawed and quickened the tune
While the landlord shook the man in the moon
"It's after three!" he said.

Thank you SO much! I love using acrylics, I think I have a special talent for them. On the flip side, I admire anyone who can use oils...I can't stand oils! LOL! Thanks for the comment!

When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
